Cat Express Tee – Light
猫特急 — Cat Express. Next stop: wherever the cat says.
Somewhere between Tokyo and Osaka, the bullet train is doing 300 km/h and it has picked up a passenger who never bought a ticket. Perched on the nose of the shinkansen, paws hooked over the edge, a nekomata is laughing into the wind with her eyes squeezed shut. In Japanese folklore a cat that lives long enough grows a second tail and becomes a 猫又 (nekomata), a yokai with a taste for mischief. This one has both tails streaming out behind her while Mt Fuji slides past on the horizon and the speed lines pile up.
The whole scene is drawn in a single colour in a clean hand-inked line style inside a rounded ticket-style frame, with 猫特急 brushed underneath. White ink on dark shirts and deep indigo on light ones keep it crisp and easy to wear. Available in a range of colours. For cat people, train spotters, and anyone who has ever wished they could ride on the outside.
A cat yokai shirt rooted in Japanese folklore: a yokai t-shirt for cat people, train spotters and Japanese streetwear fans.
