Iron Guardian Tee
鉄甲ロボ — Tetsukō Robo. Iron-clad and on duty.
Unit No. 07 clocked in back in Shōwa 29 (that's 1954) and hasn't taken a day off since. The tagline says Mirai no Shugosha, the Guardian of the Future, and the scroll down the side spells out his whole personality: Kikai no Kokoro, Hito no Heiwa, a machine's heart for humanity's peace. He stands in front of a huge red sun with Mt. Fuji and a lakeside pagoda behind him, his glowing visor fixed on the horizon.
The spec plate in the corner tells you everything: Saishin no genshiryoku kikan tōsai (fitted with the latest atomic engine), Ninmu: toshi bōei (mission: city defence), Seizō: Tōyō Jūkō (built by Tōyō Heavy Industries). It's a weathered, ukiyo-e-meets-atomic-age poster in cream, deep indigo and rust red, for anyone who'd trust a rusty robot with the fate of the city.
